HCERES Evaluation Report
As a public institution of a scientific and technical nature (EPST), Ifsttar is evaluated by the French “Haut Conseil de l’Evaluation de la Recherche et de l’Enseignement Supérieur” (HCERES), in English the “High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education”.
The evaluation is based on a frame of reference which covers several fields: strategy and management, research and training, student success, promotion and scientific culture, European and international relationships and steering. This frame of reference may be adapted to each institution.
2015-2016 Evaluation campaign
For three days in December 2015, IFSTTAR hosted a committee of experts chaired by Gilbert CASAMATTA, Professor at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INP) and President of the Saint-Exupéry Technological Research Institute (IRT-AESE). The committee of experts conducted some 40 themed interviews with external partners or IFSTTAR staff.
At the end of the evaluation process, HCERES produced an evaluation report on which the Managing Director made a number of remarks. All the documents are now available on the HCERES public website.
