Universities and Research Institutions
Engineering schools, the Écoles normales supérieures, and EPSTs
IFSTTAR’s primary partners remain French engineering schools, especially those with a long-term involvement in research. The most important of these are obviously the ENTPE and ENPC, which like IFSTTAR are partly managed by the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development. Many of IFSTTAR’s researchers teach in these schools, and their students frequently do doctoral research in our laboratories.
The Institute has important ties with other prestigious schools as a result of the dynamics of the individual sites or scientific partnerships. These include École Polytechnique, the ESIEE, ENS Cachan, the Ecoles Centrales in Nantes, Lyon and the UTC and UTBM.
IFSTTAR has also created academic partnerships works with other Public Institutions of a Scientific and Technical Nature (EPST’s), for example the CNRS, INRIA, IRSTEA, IRD and INSERM.
