Description
PhD, HDR, 48, head of the Geotechnics Environment and Risks department, has joined IFSTTAR in September 2007. He has been previously researcher and teacher at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and Ecole Nationale du Génie Rural des Eaux et des Forêts (Centre d'Enseignement et de Recherche Eau-Ville-Environnement) since 1995. He is specialized in urban hydrology and flood risk assessment, especially flash-flood risk. During the last years he took part to various French research projects on Mediterranean flash floods (program RIO I, RIO II, RDT and ANR Risk Nat) and has been the leader of the ENPC and IFSTTAR contributions to the European FLOODsite and HYDRATE, FIMFRAME and HYMEX research projects. He has been mobilized as hydrological expert during the recent floods in the Aude, Bretagne, Gard, Var and Pyrénées regions. He is the author of 48 scientific articles in international journals, a number of published communications and textbooks. He is member of several national committees (Scientific committee of the SCHAPI – French central service for flood forecasting- Scientific committee of the French ministry of the environment research programs on floods, ARAMIS hydro-meteorological radar committee, scientific comity of the Société Hydrotechnique de France)
