    Description

    Mes recherche s’inscrivent au cœur du projet d’Homme Virtuel du LBA tant dans le développement de l’Homme Virtuel, dans la biomécanique du traumatisme qu’enfin pour les applications thérapeutiques. Mes choix d’approche sont résolument tournés vers la mise en œuvre de modèle éléments finis détaillée du corps humain qui initialement très structures se veulent aujourd’hui coupler plusieurs physiques, plusieurs échelles d’observation et de modélisations.

    Historiquement mes recherches ont été initialement très orientées sur l’appareil locomoteur (membre pelvien) sur la période 2000-2008. Elles ensuite à la modélisation complète du corps humain avec un focus sur la région abdominale entre 2006-2013. Elles sont aujourd’hui centrées autour du rachis et son système nerveux.
    -    Sur l’Homme Virtuel, mes activités se sont centrées sur le développement du model de rachis (Spine Model for Safety and Surgery) par l’implémentation de la moelle épinière et du liquide céphalo-rachidien ou encore la personnalisation géométrique et mécanique des modèles.
    -    Sur la biomécanique du traumatisme, ma contribution s’est focalisé la cartographie de modes de fractures du rachis et les risques de lésions médullaires avec des applications vers la protection des motocyclistes ou encore la traumatologie du sport (sport de glisse).
    -    Enfin, la planification chirurgicale tant depuis le design d’implant pour le rachis que pour l’évaluation des conséquences d’une manœuvre chirurgicale a été au cœur de mes activités. Il s’étend aujourd’hui vers la prise en charge clinique des polytraumatisés.

    Une originalité de mes activités de recherche est la notion d’approche multi-échelles et multi physiques dans le développement de l’Homme Virtuel. Il s’agit relier des grandeurs mécaniques à des grandeurs physiologiques et à prendre en compte leur évolution dans la modélisation du corps humain. Le lien entre lésions de la moelle épinière et données en imagerie à haut champ (IRM) en est un exemple emblématique. Ce type d’approche m’amène également à contribuer aux actions qui traitent de la mise en œuvre de modèles physiologiques du corps humain (par exemple la modélisation de boucles sensorielles et motrices). J’ai également à cœur dans la modélisation du corps humain de déployer une approche globale en termes de méthode de recherche qui vise, à partir de l’analyse de traumatisme dans sa globalité, la modélisation détaillée du processus d’endommagement pour l’appliquer tant à la prévention du traumatisme qu’à sa prise en charge clinique.
