The aim of the proposed thesis work is to develop hybrid tools for optimising the design of foundations. The current simplistic approach to modelling interfaces must benefit from the new knowledge acquired on the rheology of interfaces. In particular, it is necessary to implement displacement approaches that take into account the nature of the soil, its ageing/damaged state, the foundation construction technique and also the nature of the loading in terms of amplitude and duration of application. This type of method should make it possible to modulate the safety coefficients as a result of a better understanding of the pile's behaviour.
